Independent UK research institute working on data and AI power asymmetries. Their reports on algorithmic accountability are more rigorous than most of the government consultations they respond to.

Searchable database of Pakistani legislation and superior court judgments. The IHC, LHC, and Supreme Court decisions are reasonably up to date.

Free full-text search across Indian court judgments from all High Courts and the Supreme Court. Underused by non-Indian researchers despite its quality.

The federal body that actually recommends law reform in Pakistan, chaired by the Chief Justice. Closest thing to an official record of where domestic legal reform is headed.

Free, open-source US case law database from the Free Law Project — over nine million opinions. Useful for the comparative angle: citing how American courts have handled a question Pakistani courts haven't reached yet.
EDPB — European Data Protection Board
Official guidance on GDPR interpretation. The opinions and guidelines are more useful than most academic commentary on GDPR compliance questions.
US / CCPACalifornia AG — CCPA Resources
Official CCPA guidance and enforcement actions. The enforcement letters are the most informative documents for understanding what the AG prioritizes.
Global TrackerIAPP Global Privacy Law Tracker
Tracks the status of privacy legislation across all major jurisdictions. The Pakistan PDPA status is included — worth checking quarterly.
PakistanPakistan — Personal Data Protection Bill
Track legislative progress and any draft regulations from the regulator. Still evolving — check for updates before relying on older summaries.
UAEUAE PDPL — Official Text
Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, hosted on the UAE government's own platform. The free-zone carve-outs (DIFC, ADGM run their own regimes) are the detail most summaries skip.
IndiaIndia DPDPA 2023 — Official Text
The full text of India's first comprehensive privacy law, hosted by MeitY. Rules were only notified in November 2025 — check the commencement schedule before assuming a provision is in force.
